The Sunless Citadel sunk nearly intact into a huge crevice a hundred years ago. It lies near the Hamlet of Oakhurst, which is about a half days ride south of Rakerville, in the Pale. 

The city of Tristor, in the Theocracy of Pale, near the Troll Fens, has been troubled by animal mutilations. Nearly all the live stock around the farms surrounding the city has been killed by what appears to be a savage beast.
